With the stern principal of ‘value over price’ Legend of Tea emphasise on providing the top tier quality of tea leafs and products to the consumers. Founded in 1993 by Mr Ng Shu Loong, the creation of ‘Legend of Tea’ was inspired by the tea philosophy during the Tang Dynasty; which is drawn from the essence of teachings in Confucians, Tao, and Zen which emphasise the union of humanity and nature that leads to the highest form of tea admiration.

‘Legend of Tea’s’ holds on to philosophy and teachings of the way of tea. The company practices the culture of respect towards the tea while producing all the tea products. From getting the best quality of raw materials, followed by attentiveness of skilled mastery in the production of tea; each product packaging that is specially designed, not influenced by the modern trend, upholding the true essence of daily living. As such ‘Legend of Tea’ believes that the product will enhance the customers tea drinking experience, allowing them to embrace the beauty of tea art and the tea itself.

‘Legend of Tea’ produces a variety of tea and tea related products: The premium grade of ancient Puer Tea; Wu Yi Rock Tea; Japanese Green Tea; Flower Tea; High grade Purple Clay Tea pots, Tea utensils, gift set and etc.

Throughout the 20 years of dedication and attentiveness in managing the business, ensuring the excellence in products and services of the company, ‘Legend of Tea’ rapidly grew into becoming one of the largest retail brand in Chinese tea art industry in Malaysia. We have a total of 8 retail outlets through Malaysia covering from the Northern to Southern region. With strong affirmation and recognition of our products, ‘Legend of Tea’ excels from Malaysia and it is spread worldwide to several foreign countries. ‘Legend of Tea’ currently has customers from, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Australia, Indonesia, China and etc. 

 In order to serve the community better, ‘Legend of Tea’ has taken a step towards the international arena; in year 2014 ‘Legend of Tea’ has establish the first Malaysia own tea factory in China as well as ‘Legend of Tea’ retail outlets in Shanghai, Ning Po and Yi Xing.

The founder Mr Ng Shu Loong not only dedicated his life in bringing out the essence of tea art but also holds deep concern in tea art culture that will promote healthy lifestyle in today’s society and culture. Through out the years of hard work, risk taking, dedication and commitment towards his work; Mr Ng experienced many moments of ups and downs in the journey of building his vision. The excellence of ‘Legend of Tea’ lies within the leadership and passion of Mr Ng in continuous effort of product development which leads him to a higher level effort of exploration into the vast richness of tea art. Mr Ng has venture into the depths of mountain in search of high quality teas and further his study and learning the tradition method of producing the ultimate quality of tea. Moreover, the design and the presentation of the tea has been done in an utmost detailed manner to ensure the product is delivered in the best presentation. Furthermore, Mr Ng also dedicates his time in organizing charity events in creating the awareness towards the tea art culture and its benefit in hoping to build up a better lifestyle for the community.

The gathering of raw materials

‘Legend of Tea’s’ product is produced by gathering the best grade of raw materials. While creating a product the company carefully looks into details such as the condition of the plantation, the age of the tree, the method of harvesting, and the quality of the tea tree itself. To ensure and deliver the best quality of product to the customers, ‘Legend of Tea’ has establish a production and collection centre, namely the ‘Gu Yun Hao’ tea production factory; located in He Kai, Xi Shuang Ban Na, in the Yunnan province of China; tea leafs collection centre are located in some of the few famous tea plantations in the province namely, Ban Zhang Lao Zai, Lao Man Er and Mang Jing Shan Zai plantation.

The refined technique in Tea making

‘Legend of Tea’ has establish the ‘Gu Yun Hao’ tea production factory in He Kai, Xi Shuang Ban Na, in aiming to create the best quality of premium tea. Therefore, to assist in the production we have hired highly experienced tea makers which specialised in the ancient way of tea making; and getting tea professionals to supervise and examine the whole production process; ‘Legend of Tea’ commits to provide the best quality of tea to all customers around the world.

The brand of ‘Legend of Tea’ promotes simplicity, plain, comfortable and authentic lifestyle and bringing out the essence of living. We do not practice exaggeration on our product packaging in ways that will lead to the idea of illusionary product branding. ‘Legend of Tea’ uses the art of zen to bring out the beauty of connecting tea and its related product with the simpleness of art work and design; indirectly promotes culture and heritage of living. The packaging presentation is beyond the beauty in the eyes and we believe that it will enhance the ultimate tea tasting experience.
