Sea turtles are one of the oldest and most mysterious creatures in the ocean. However, they now face many threats and need our support. As Legend of Tea enters its 30th anniversary, we would like to take this opportunity to call on everyone to protect sea turtles, cherish our planet and marine ecology.

 

What we can do?

There are six out of seven sea turtle species classified as threatened or endangered worldwide. There are multiple threats to their existence that endanger their survival. Sad to say, the biggest threats to sea turtles are caused by humans. However, the good news is that there are many things within our control that can be changed.

 

Beneficiary - Bubbles Turtle Conservation

Bubbles Turtle Conservation is a marine conservation project that started by Bubbles Dive Resort in 2004 and is located at Pulau
Perhentian, Terengganu. Their goal is to conserve turtles rather than commercialize them.

Unfortunately, due to the brutal Covid-19 situation and the implementation of Malaysian Movement Control (MCO) since 2020, which has taken a toll on Bubbles and the overall tourism industry in Malaysia, Bubbles Turtle Conservation is no longer able to fund the conservation project.
